Miscellaneous Tools, Daemons and Utilities
If you find any of this software useful, you can donate if you
wish by clicking on the donate button below.
I've written a variety of tools, daemons and utilities that are
not dependent on Karma or Linux, and don't fall into a specific
category. I'm slowly going through my collection and making them
publically available via this WWW page.
-
daemons to process telephone callerID information using a
modem. Ring events can be processed by a user-defined script and may
be sent to remote machines (where another daemon receives these events
and can also run user-defined scripts). Combined with a sound card,
you can control who may disturb you with a telephone call, and when
they may. Available

-
a utility to replace identical files on the same file-system with hard
links. It is optimised to reduce disc head movement (by reading blocks
of inode metadata and then blocks of file data). Available
here
-
a daemon to monitor mail folders and directories of mail folders and
display the highest-priority non-empty folder. Very useful for
managing lots of incoming email and prioritising. Available
